Indian ace cricketer Virat Kohli surely knows how to spend his money wisely. After a year of launching a chic casual dining restaurant, Nueva in his Hometown Delhi, Virat Kohli is back with a new youthful dining space in Gurugram’s Aerocity called ‘One8 Commune’.
While Nueva is the first restaurant in India to serve South American food, One8 Commune is a casual dining bar which is launched under Virat’s beloved brand, one8.

The hospitality rights are co-owned and managed by the cricketer’s friend Vartik Tihara, who knows the Kohli of the days before fame, and restaurateur Ankit Tayal, who also part-owns a triumvirate of Delhi’s new, go-to bars — Auro, Summer House and Mango Kitchen & Bar.
The Ambience Of one8 Commune
Talking about the space, One8 Commune is an unshowy and to the point space, where you can eat and chill with your pals without being uptight. It’s a two floor restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. It’s designed with shades of maroons and plums. The interiors are not really trying too hard to impress you. They are highlighted by Kohli’s autograph and a scoring board which are looking quite sporty. It’s not a posh bar where you have to go and dress your best, in fact its relaxing ambience gives you the vibe of ‘Be yourself and let loose’.

The Food
The food at One8 is beautifully curated by Chef Sabyasachi Gorai and Chef Pawan Bist. They have created a vibrant multi-cuisine menu which has it all from staple Pizza-Burger reinventions to heavy -duty community platters. It’s been curated with Virat’s personal food experiences. So it has everything for those health freaks, meat lovers and vegetarians.
Their menu is also uniquely designed as it has separate windows like working community, the Humble Indian Plate, The Bee Keepers Commune and so on.
