“We’re Concerned About This,” Railway Responds To Video Of Man Purposely Littering Station

Lack of cleanliness in India is turning out to be a serious problem. Despite countless efforts by authorities, from setting up dust bins to putting up hoardings about the same, many people still refuse to change their ways. A recent video demonstrates the same worrisome attitude that, sadly, all too many people have. A viral video showed a man littering the train platform by throwing a Gutka packet. When stopped, he justified his act using a twisted logic. Railway responded to the video.

Man Purposely Litters Railway Platform By Throwing Gutka Pack

Someone recently shared an alarming video on X (formerly known as Twitter) that showed a man throwing a gutka wrapper outside the train on the platform. The person taking the video rightfully chided him for littering the platform.

To our utter surprise, instead of admitting his mistake and expressing contrition, he went on to justify his littering using some twisted logic. He said that he pays the railway for its maintenance and so, he can litter because that’s what he’s paying for – his mess to be cleaned.

Understandably, the person taking the video is angered to hear it. They go on arguing but the man who littered showed no sign of remorse over his mistake.

This Is How Railway Responds To The Viral Video On X

The video was shared on April 17. Since then, it has received more than nine thousand views. Many people took to the comment section and called for authorities to impose a fine on this individual for littering. The railway helpline even responded to the thread.

They said that they were concerned about this incident and asked for the details of the incident. From the announcements heard in the background, it seems that the incident took place at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus or CSMT on the Central line.

One commenter even lauded the person who took the video for calling out his actions and doing the right thing.
