Blue Origin’s NS-25 mission marks a new chapter in sustainable space exploration, with a focus on reusability and environmental responsibility. According to the NDTV reports, the company’s New Shepard rocket reuses nearly 99% of its dry mass, including the booster, capsule, engine, landing gear, and parachutes. The engine is powered by liquid oxygen and hydrogen, producing only water vapour as its byproduct.

Ed Dwight, a retired Air Force captain who was chosen by President John F. Kennedy in 1961 to be the country’s first Black astronaut candidate, will also be travelling on the NS-25 mission. Even though Dwight was never able to take a space flight, this mission allows him to finally realise his dream.

As the countdown to launch begins, anticipation mounts for the moment when Gopichand Thotakura and his fellow explorers take their place in history, carrying the dreams and aspirations of a generation with them.
