Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for commuters around Hebbal Circle in the city from May 10. This advisory suggests alternate routes for commuters on this route as it will remain closed for metro-related works at Hebbal-Kodigehalli junction. This will help avoid congestion in the area and allow smooth traffic flow. Read on to know about the advisory and alternative routes.

Metro Work To Begin Around Hebbal Circle; Traffic Congestion Anticipated

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will soon begin metro-related works at the Hebbal-Kodigehalli junction. They are to align tracks to the metro pillars on the Kodigehalli-Hebbal Circle stretch and this will disrupt traffic in the area. So, to avoid traffic congestion, the city’s traffic police have issued an advisory for commuters travelling around Hebbal Circle. People have been asked to take alternative routes to avoid traffic from May 10. The advisory includes route diversions and restrictions around this area for a smoother traffic flow.

Restrictions & Route Diversions By Bengaluru Traffic Police

Keeping the traffic congestion from the metro work in mind, the Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued the following traffic advisories for at least a month –

  1. All vehicles travelling between Kodigehalli Junction and Esteem Mall on the service road near Hebbal Flyover have been banned from 11 PM to 5 AM.
  2. Entry to the service road near the Nagawara Flyover ramp will be closed from May 10. This will ensure smooth traffic flow on the Outer Ring Road.
  3. Commuters have been advised to reach Pampa Extension Road from Dasarahalli Main Road, proceed via Ranna Road, and reach Esteem Mall via Kempapura Main Road.
  4. All heavy goods vehicles will have to take the up-ramp at Vidyashilp Junction.
  5. The commuters travelling towards Nagawara and Thanisandra must take the service road near the Keranadu Restaurant.

Please keep these traffic advisories and route diversions in mind before heading out. Also, plan your travel ahead of time to avoid being late due to traffic.
