Different parts of this state are receiving heavy rainfall. The weather has been cloudy and gloomy for some time now. According to reports and social media posts, South Florida witnessed massive downpours on June 12. The weather change triggered waterlogging in several areas. In fact, warnings for flash floods have been alerted as well. Having cricket matches on any ground is impossible under such conditions.

Florida’s Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground was the host stadium for Wednesday’s match between Sri Lanka and Nepal. The group stage match was called off without a single ball bowled. The reason to abandon it was continuous rainfall in Lauderhill. The concerning fact is that it is also the venue for the next 3 crucial matches. The results of these games will determine some teams’ future in the T20 World Cup.

The cricket stadium is scheduled to host USA vs Ireland on June 14, India vs Canada on June 15, and Pakistan vs Ireland on June 16. Seeing the weather reports predicting heavy rainfall and flash flood warnings, cricket fans want the International Cricket Council (ICC) to change the venue. They wish for the ICC to host the rest of the matches at stadiums in Dallas or New York, according to a report by India Today.
