Earlier this month, WhatsApp issued a notice asking users to accept a set of changes in its Terms of Service and privacy policy by February 8. Those who fail to do so will lose access to their account. In case you’re unhappy about Whatsapp’s new policies, here are four top free apps in the UAE that can be used as alternatives.

1. Telegram Messenger

Telegram is known to be the best competitor to WhatsApp. The free app offers usual messaging features as well as the option to create super groups of up to 100,000 people, public channels, and usernames. Users can also share files of up to 1.5 GB, as opposed to the WhatsApp limit of 16MB. In addition, the app also offers passcode lock, self-destructing messages, and end-to-end encryption in secret chat. Lastly, Telegram also has an added feature called Telegram Bots- that offers important information. There are also several game bots that let you play games inside the app. Unlike WhatsApp, Telegram can be used on multiple platforms at once.
