5Km Cycling Track With Sea View To Come Up Between Mahim Fort & Bandra Fort In Mumbai

Mumbai right now is in an under-construction mode. The roads are paralysed with hardly any space for vehicles or pedestrians to pass. However, it can be safe to say that Mumbai will be gold in a few years with broad roads, metro lines, and highways connecting the city’s nook and crannies. In addition, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is planning to construct a cycle track spanning 5km along the beach between Mahim and Bandra forts. Now, isn’t that wonderful?

A Cycling Track Overlooking The Sea

Maharashtra Tourism Minister Aditya Thakrey floated the idea for the cycling track overlooking the sea. He later took to social media and tweeted, “This morning I visited Mahim Retibunder to check on the progress of our beach restoration drive. I also discussed with DMC Ballamwar ji and AC @DighavkarKiran ji about our plan to have a cycle track from Mahim Fort to Bandra Fort. A watchtower for tourists is near complete.”

The Cycling Track Would Run Between Mahim Fort & Bandra Fort

Aaditya Thackeray proposed the cycle track during the site visit and asked the civic body to check how conducive would the project be. The cycling track would run along the sea with the existing road on the other side between Mahim Fort and Bandra Fort. Very soon, cyclists will be able to enjoy the sea view in Mumbai. Mumbai To Get A 39km Cycling & Jogging Track Between Mulund & Antop Hill.

A Small Portion Of The Track Would Run Along The Beach

Only a small portion of this 5km cycling track would have a beach, at Mahim where the path will run along the beach. The BMC had begun beach restoration at Mahim Retibunder before the Covid-19 lockdown. Along with the beach’s repair, the plan includes constructing a promenade, a walkway, a watchtower, and artwork to beautify the area. Bangalore Canals To Get Amsterdam Feels; Walking & Cycling Tracks Around The Edges.
