Trojena is one of the four distinct regions in the much-talked-about NEOM project from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As the work on this ambitious project continues to be underway, it was recently revealed that a crystal-like 330-metre tower will be coming up at Trojena. And this is expected to be designed by the Zaha Hadid Architects. Known for striking buildings all over the world, this tower is also going to be nothing short of spectacular.
Zaha Hadid-Designed Tower To Come Up In Trojena?
According to reports by Arch Daily, a Zaha Hadid-designed tower is coming soon to NEOM’s Trojena region. For those unfamiliar, Trojena is going to one of the four regions in NEOM and it will offer year-round outdoor skiing and adventure sports. Called the Discovery Tower, this skyscraper is expected to be 330 meters tall and might be master-planned by LAVA architects. The crystal-like skyscraper will be located on a mountain and it will be overlooking a central man-made lake. Although, it’s worth keeping in mind that the precise details regarding its location are yet to be disclosed.
At this point, it’s worth mentioning that this tower may house retail outlets, restaurants, exhibition spaces, and even observation decks. Not to mention, a cable car might also connect the same to the lakeside development. Moreover, this tower is going to be a recognisable symbol, as mentioned in the report, and it is expected to be located 50km from the Gulf of Aqaba.

A Glimpse Of The NEOM Project
For those unaware, Trojena is an up-and-coming ski resort that’s part of the ambitious NEOM project. The ambitious plan was announced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia around two years ago and it will feature four distinct regions. The Line, which is a city-like compact structure that’s 200 meters in width, but 170 kilometres in length; the Sindalah, which is an island destination in the Red Sea; Trojena, which will be a mountain tourism destination; and Oxagon, a reimagined manufacturing city.
