A Massive Kite Festival Is Coming To Dubai Creek Park This Month

Love kites? This one’s sure to bring a big, broad smile on your face. A massive Kite Fest is coming to the Dubai Creek park on Friday, 10 January. After a successful first year, the kite fest is back in town for its second edition. Guests can enjoy a host of workshops, activities, live entertainment and of course paint the sky with colourful kites. Who’s up to re-live good old childhood days?

What’s It?

Dubai’s kite festival made its debut last year, and is coming to town next week for its second edition. The fest is happening on 10 January from 10 am to 8 pm, at the Dubai Creek Park. The family-friendly event has a host of activities for the young and the old. Adults can register for a variety of workshops, enjoy live entertainment, or take part in kite flying competitions while the little ones can enjoy plenty of games and activities.

What Else?

Meanwhile, Dubai is all set to welcome the UAE’s biggest Lego festival this month, as part of the 25th Dubai Shopping Festival. Visitors can enjoy all the activities featured in the seven LEGO zones that include:

  2. LEGO Friends
  3. LEGO Duplo
  4. LEGO Ninjago
  5. LEGO Technic
  6. LEGO Architecture
  7. LEGO Shadow Runner and LEGO Jungle

Each of the zones celebrate a popular LEGO brand and offers exciting experiences from building a life-sized sculpture, trains, snow man, fire engine or even a Burj Khalifa model. As well as the fest also has a first-of-its-kind LEGO Ninjago-themed IMAGINE show which will kick off on 8 January at 8:00 pm in Festival Bay. Ninja fans can watch the ninjas battle against the powerful evil sorceress Aspheera.

Activities At The Lego Festival

Adventure junkies can get their adrenaline rush at the Ninjago challenge or the Dragon Master Challenge at the LEGO Ninjago Zone. Little ones can race against a life-sized LEGO Minifigure at the Shadow Runner Zone or get up close and personal with animals built from LEGO bricks, at the Jungle Zone.

And if you love adventure, here are amusement parks in Dubai you will love!

Fans of the girl gang, LEGO Friends, can take part in building some fun new destinations for Heartlake city and meet Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie in person at the Friends Zone. Meanwhile, the older LEGO fans can put their mechanical skills to the test as they engineer buildings at the LEGO Technic and Architecture Zone. The little ones can build race cars and test them at the racing track.

The festival will also boast a massive heart shaped LEGO bricks pool will also be available for visitors to dive into and play.

Shoppers can splurge and take advantage of up to 50% discounts available from their favorite brands taking part in DSF. Those who spend more than AED 300 are up for a chance to enter the draw to win a new 2020 Lexus RX Hybrid.
