Khaled Al Harmoudi, a 33-year-old Emirati entrepreneur born in Sharjah, realised that investing money in a company is only worthwhile when you under the potential of the company and growth possibilities after losing a significant sum of his hard-earned cash.

For him, it was his friend’s makeup business. He put his stacks into the business without having a clear understanding of the growth value in the makeup sector. And in a short span, the company hit the rock bottom. According to Khaled, he invested a humongous amount of money which was quoted to be Dh200,000.

All that went to vain as they fell short of attracting investors and ofcourse the money. But the only good thing that came out of this was his lessons on learning before investing in anything.

Al Harmoudi’s entrepreneurial adventure began in 2018, and since then, he has experienced both numerous failures and accomplishments. Although he now calls Dubai home, he spent his early years in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Al Harmoudi began working in 2015, earning Dh50,000 a month.

He was a project engineer for an oil and gas business based in Abu Dhabi. While working at the company for the following seven years, he was able to hone his leadership and interpersonal abilities.

In 2018 he opened his first polyclinic, and in 2022 he opened a second cumulative pharmacy. He realised in 2021 that he couldn’t manage a healthcare centre and a full-time, 8-hour job at the same time. He so decided to give it up and concentrated on running a clinic delicately.
