Aaditya Thackeray Talks About How Climate Change Is Impacting Everyone’s Lives

June 5th is observed as World Environment Day and we take a look back at this interesting episode of Sunday Brunch with the Yuva Sena leader, Aaditya Thackeray. He shared his thoughts with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, on the drastic climate changes. Also, how it is the responsibility of every human to take measures to curb the drastic effects of climate change. Scroll to read what else he highlighted on this topic.

Aaditya Thackeray Talked About Climate Change

While in conversation with Kamiya, Aaditya recalled watching the 2004 movie ‘The Day After Tomorrow’ with his friends in the theatre. It is a film about a sudden storm that pushes the entire world into a new ice age. Watching this movie made him think about the effects of climate change.

He said, “Every aspect of our life is dominated by climatic change,” and then gave an example of Mumbai’s monsoon season. He informed us that the standard Mumbai monsoon used to last almost 120 days. Now it has come down to a 70-day season! His political journey, too, has made him reflect on the challenges and the transformations of climatic change.

Aaditya said that other areas of India are facing flash floods, extreme heat waves, and more due to drastic climatic changes. Then, he emphasised that everyone needs to work towards making a change to curb this environmental catastrophe. If people do not take action now, there will be a lot of problems in the future.

He mentioned the vintage charm of the area along with the beautiful cafes in Kala Ghoda, the architectural beauty and historical significance. This helps SoBo be extremely camera-ready. He is forever in love with its beauty and drama. Aaditya, we have identical thoughts!
