Abu Dhabi is doing everything it can to win over the covid-19 pandemic that has disrupted our lives from 2020. After making use of Al Hosn App green pass mandatory for restaurants, malls and other public places, the capital is now trialling mass scanners to screen large groups of people for covid. Abu Dhabi To Trial Mass Scanners For Immediate Covid Results

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has announced that it’s piloting a new project, where it will use advanced mass scanners to screen people in numbers for covid. Speaking about how these scanners will work, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, via the Abu Dhabi media office, said that these screens would scan the potential covid-19 infection and provide immediate results. People identified as covid-19 positive will not be allowed to enter the capital and will be asked to get a free PCR test done within 24 hours.

In The Pilot Phase, The Scanners Will Be Set Up At The Entry Points Of Abu Dhabi, Yas Island And The Musaffah Area

The trial will run in combination fo the current safety procedures, which include social distancing, deep clean requirements, use of PPE in public places, negative Covid tests to enter the emirate by road, and the new Green Pass, which came into work yesterday.

In the pilot phase, scanners will be set up at entry points to Abu Dhabi, on Yas Island and in the Musaffah area. To make sure that citizens understand this process, Abu Dhabi Media Office, on their Instagram stories, demonstrated a phone-based tech. However, we yet have to wait and understand how these mass scanners will work.
