UAE mass vaccination drive began in December 2020, and since the nation has already vaccinated 7 million citizens. And after prioritizing the elderly and people with comorbidity, UAE has now announced that everyone from the age of 16 can take the vaccine. To make things convenient for citizens over 50, Abu Dhabi has started a home vaccine service. Yep, citizens and residents aged 50 and above in Abu Dhabi can now book a home vaccine service.

Government Aims To Increase Speed Up The Vaccine Service With This Campaign 

The initiative was announced on Thursday by the emirate’s media office. People can book a shot by calling Abu Dhabi Health Services (Seha) on free number 800 50. While, this is not something new that the government is offering. Initially, too, the elderly were vaccinated at home, but this booking service aims to increase the scope of the campaign.

UAE Has Already Managed To Vaccinate More Than 7 Million Citizens 

This new update comes into play as authorities speed up the vaccination programme and continue to protect those most vulnerable. When it comes to the vaccination, UAE is way ahead on the vaccination curve in the world. Authorities have vaccinated half the country’s population two weeks before its target date of the end of March.

The UAE on Thursday said it had administered 127,047 doses over the previous 24 hours to reach 7.73 million total doses.
