Owned entirely by Indian flag carrier Air India, Air India Express is a low-cost airline operating in the country. Recently, they have announced resuming flight operations between Trichy and Bengaluru. Here are the details of the resumed flight service of Air India Express.
Air India Express Resumes Flights Between Trichy & Bengaluru
After a seven-year break, Air India Express has started operating two weekly flights between Trichy and Bengaluru on Mondays and Thursdays. As a result, there will be four flights per day between Trichy and Bengaluru, while IndiGo now runs three daily routes.
Mondays and Thursdays are when the flights will be operating, according to the airport administration. At 12:15 am, Flight IX2411 will depart from Bengaluru and arrive at Trichy airport at 1:25 am. At 3:30 am, the return aircraft (IX2410) will leave Trichy and arrive in Bengaluru at 4:40 am. Seven years ago, Air India Express began operating services in Chennai, and ten years ago, it stopped operating in Mumbai due to operational problems.
In the meantime, on November 4, IndiGo began offering the much-needed daily service between Trichy and Mumbai. IndiGo has been providing services to Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Prior to COVID-19, the airline ran 35 weekly routes between Trichy and Chennai, 14 weekly services between Trichy and Bengaluru, and seven weekly services to Hyderabad.
The number decreased to 48 every week after the outbreak. With the addition of two services to Bengaluru, seven additional services to Chennai, and seven more to Mumbai, the total number of domestic flights from Trichy every week has now reached 72. Of them, IndiGo runs seventy, and Air India Express runs two.

Charting Flight Routes From Mangaluru
With the launch of two new routes linking Bengaluru and Mangaluru, Air India Express (AIE) is improving the traveller experience. According to a statement from the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA), the winter timetable, which began on November 15, promises improved connectivity, connecting not only these two cities but also Chennai, Kannur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Varanasi.
MIA officials stated that with this most recent addition to their flight schedule, they are looking forward to a significant rise in domestic passenger footfalls. The airline schedules are designed with the comfort of the consumer in mind, allowing for easy connections to other countries.
Earlier, the airline announced the starting of a flight service from Amritsar and Hyderabad which commenced on November 17. According to the Chief Commercial Officer of AIE, Air India Express, which offers international flights to Dubai and Sharjah, has developed a significant following in Amritsar. They are excited to expand their offerings even more by adding domestic connections and daily direct flights to Hyderabad. With 19 weekly flights, this development strengthens Amritsar’s position in its growing network.
Last month, the airline revealed the new look of their aircraft. The Boeing 737-8 was unveiled at the event, which was a recent addition to their fleet. In addition to becoming the airline of the new generation, they plan on offering connectivity and accessibility!
