Air India Passenger Shares Pics Of Dirty Cabin & Broken Armrest; DGCA Orders Repair

You’d think travelling by air is a luxurious experience as compared to travelling by train, bus or any other mode of transport. Well, that might not exactly be the case on a domestic flight. An Air India passenger recently shared pictures of a broken armrest, dirty cabin and shoddy interiors on the flight. Here’s what to know.

Air India Passenger Complaints About Shoddy Interiors & Broken Armrest

Prince Thomas(@PRINCE0879), Editor at the Morning Context tweeted photos of shabby interiors and broken armrests while travelling in the Tata-Group-owned Air India flight. The passenger complained that as an aviation enthusiast, he was disappointed with the dirty cabin and broken armrest on Air India’s Airbus A320 aircraft with registration number VT-EDF. He tweeted to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to take matters into their hands.

DGCA Orders Air India To Fix The Situation

Following this tweet that garnered a lot of attention on social media, DGCA asked Air India to rectify this matter as soon as possible. Earlier, DGCA had reprimanded SpiceJet craft after a passenger’s complaint of malfunctioning cabin panels and filthy seats. SpiceJet repaired the cabin panels, cleaned the seats thoroughly and then took to the skies. So, as a passenger, if you have a complaint, you have the power to take things into your hands.
