Air India To Add 24 New Domestic Flights Between Metro Cities From August 20

People are travelling now – especially after the pandemic, they are finally being able to move & honestly, it definitely, feels like the normalcy is returning. On Wednesday, the Ministry of Civil Aviation removed the capping on flight fares that it had introduced in 2020. The removal of the capping did bring in a lot of doubts regarding the soaring flight prices. Today, Air India has announced that it will launch an additional fleet of 24 new domestic flights from August 20, onwards. These new Air India flights will be operating at metro cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune etc.

Air India, Its New Fleet Of Flights & Other Airlines

Air India, is now a private airlines, after it was taken back by the Tata group in January this year. This decision of introducing new flights comes after a day of the government removing capping of flight prices. This also means, that all the private airlines like Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Vistara and others can decide the prices of tickets on their own. As per media reports, Air India MD and CEO Campbell Wilson said, ‘Over the past six months, Air India has been working closely with our partners to return aircraft to service, and we are delighted that this effort is now bearing fruit.’
