American Singer Mary Millben Performed ‘Jana Gana Mana’ And Touched PM Modi’s Feet!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was hosted at the White House by President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. And organised a wonderful dinner evening in his honour. From music to food, Indian culture dominated the theme of dinner. But most importantly, after a brilliant performance, American singer Mary Millben touched PM Modi’s feet!

A notable event occurred at the end of the Prime Minister’s official State Dinner. After singing Jana Gana Mana, the national anthem of India, American singer Mary Millben bowed before Prime Minister Narendra Modi and requested his blessing.

Mary Millben sang the Indian national anthem at a USICF event. It was an invite-only event and took place in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Centre in Washington, DC.

She is a well-known African-American actress and singer in Hollywood. Moreover, she is famous in India for singing the country’s national anthem, Jan Gana Mana, and Om Jai Jagdish Hare. Prior to the event, she had stated that it would be a “deep honour” to sing the Indian anthem for Prime Minister Modi.

The Singer Was Deeply Honoured!

In a statement, she expressed her gratitude for being one of the invitees at the dinner. She felt incredibly honoured to sing the Indian national anthem for Prime Minister Modi and in honour of the nation and people she has grown to consider my family.

She further stated that it was the actual essence of the connection between the US and India. Both the American and Indian anthems speak to the principles of democracy and freedom. Further, she stated that true freedom can only be defined by a free people.

Because of his powerful spiritual presence and dedication to Indian culture and traditions, PM Modi has a great deal of respect around the world.

The Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea touched PM Modi’s feet last month during his visit to the Pacific Island country. When the prime minister was leaving the country, two people made a similar gesture by bowing before him and touching the ground while displaying images from the airport.

With a quick folding of his hands, Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged their bow.
