Industrialist Anand Mahindra who has always been seen providing innovative solutions for problems like climate change and global warming recently tweeted something amazing. In the tweet he shared, a video was shown that demonstrated a technology that generates electricity from traffic. The tweet has over 42.8k likes and netizens are sharing their views about the same.
Future Global Force In Wind Energy
The clip shared by Mr Mahindra showed how wind-generated by moving traffic can be converted into electricity by small turbines embedded in the middle of a road. Additionally, the Enlil turbines can measure the levels of CO2 in the air and generate 1 KW of power every hour. This product is currently being tested in Turkey. He was so impressed by this Turkey-based technology that he asked Minister Gadkari to bring it to India. He also indicated how we can become a global force in wind energy, given India’s traffic.
Developed by Istanbul Technical University. Ingenious. Uses the wind generated by passing traffic. Given India’s traffic, we could become a global force in wind energy! 😊 Can we explore using them on our highways @nitin_gadkari ji? https://t.co/eEKOhvRpDo

Invented By Indian Innovators
The video, which was posted on a Twitter account named UNILAD Tech, has so far been viewed by 1.4 million people. Many people commented on the video that they were thrilled about the possibility of implementing this on Indian roads, but others pointed out how difficult it could be to implement this in India. Some Twitter users brought up the fact that similar turbines have been invented by Indian innovators into the light.
this is already there some Indian student did this but dont know why its not adopted yet maybe we are waiting for the west to adopt it first🥲. here is yt linkhttps://t.co/JIqGVF8jQA
