If you thought that Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Jamnagar pre-wedding celebrations were grand, then their pre-wedding cruise bash simply takes the cake. But, it looks like not everyone was impressed with the grandeur of the Ambani family celebrations. As per reports, Italian residents and businesses in Portofino and Genoa were not happy when the cities were shut down during the pre-wedding cruise celebrations. Furthermore, there were a lot of complaints about the ill-mannered guests and the loud celebrations as well.

Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant recently celebrated their second pre-wedding bash. The celebration took place on a cruise from Palermo to the south of France and back with more than 800 guests. As per reports, the cruise stopped in Rome, Portofino, Genoa, and Cannes. Each stop had a series of parties and extravagant activities for the guests to indulge in. While all eyes were on this opulent bash, Italian locals were not that impressed.

As per The Independent, this Ambani cruise angered locals and businesses in Portofino and Genoa. This is mainly because these cities were shut during the cruise stoppage. They, reportedly, blocked the entire bay in Portofino. This meant that locals and tourists were not able to visit the bay while the Ambani celebration was on.

Local Italian newspapers further reported about “offensive & bad-mannered” guests at this celebration. While many tourists and locals took to social media to show their displeasure as well.

According to The Times, many local restaurants in these cities were offered €7,000 – €10,000 (₹6,35,754 – ₹9,08,220) to cater the Ambani guests. They wanted them to serve focaccia, paneer tikka, and beetroot goat cheese kebab.

The four-day, second pre-wedding celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant was nothing short of a fairytale. They docked at picturesque French cities and had a gala time with their guests. Keeping up with their Ambani-style celebrations, this time around, they invited Backstreet Boys and Katy Perry to perform live for the guests.

Of course, just like their Jamnagar celebrations, all the celebrities from Bollywood and even the cricketing world attended this gala. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, M S Dhoni, Disha Patani, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday, Suhana Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and Sidharth Malhotra were amongst the guests of this cruise bash.
