And now, Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has joined the illustrious guest list of Chef Vikas Khanna’s New York restaurant. This visit, however, was a bit more personal for the chef. Wondering why? Scroll on to find out.
Anne Hathaway Visits Vikas Khanna’s Bungalow In New York
Anne Hathaway recently dined at Chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, Bungalow in New York. The chef took to social media to talk about the actress’ visit and why it was so special to him. In the post shared on Instagram, he said that Anne Hathaway was his deceased sister, Radhika Khanna’s hero.
Sharing his deeply emotional memories, Vikas revealed that he watched Anne’s The Devil Wears Prada on a loop with his sister while sitting by her hospital bed as she battled with Lupus. He confessed that he and his sister knew every line from the movie by heart as they had watched it so many times! He then went on to share that when he lost his sister, he ended up deleting the movie from his laptop “as the memories were too much to bear.”
Now, when Anne Hathaway visited the chef’s restaurant in New York, he felt all those memories flooding back. In his caption, he said, “I was so happy to feed her. Cooking and serving are the only ways I know how to express love and gratitude.”
He then went on to thank the actress for giving his sister “those moments of happiness—when we’d laugh and say, “Everybody wants to be us.” He even photoshopped his sister in the photo, right next to Anne Hathaway, her hero. According to Chef Vikas Khanna, she was there with them at that moment.
