Atul Kulkarni Shared Why Artists Are Going For Web Series More
Arohi mentioned that web series have more character depth while they were on the topic of Atul Kulkarni’s political web series, City Of Dreams. It was directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, where Atul played the role of Ameya Rao Gaikwad. He told us, “This format of web shows, for everyone, writers, directors, actors, it gives a lot of length.” They much appreciate the screen time that web shows give to an artist.
Atul Kulkarni added that if you are a part of a web series and you are doing 10 episodes, it is two and a half films. Hence, artists love this kind of format where there is more depth to the storyline and characters. He also mentioned that film has other challenges and is great as well. Where Did He Meet His Wife?
Atul Kulkarni was very fortunate enough to marry the love of his life, Geetanjali Kulkarni. She has contributed to Marathi and Hindi cinema. She was his girlfriend back when they were studying at the National School of Drama, New Delhi. They finally got married in 1996 and now have a happy married life.
Atul Kulkarni also shared a funny yet cute story regarding his love life. He told us that she proposed to him at India Gate in Delhi but he did not say yes then and there. It took him some time to say yes, he didn’t share the reason behind this and we didn’t ask him further. It all ended well and that is what matters.
