Vande Bharat Express, the semi-high-speed trains, have been launched on several routes all over the country. Now, it may soon be launched on a new one. As per reports, this route was very much in demand and hence, the new route may soon begin operations. This new train route is between Bengaluru in Karnataka and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Here are all the important details about the new Vande Bharat route that you would need to know.
New Vande Bharat Route Between Bengaluru And Coimbatore
According to an article which was recently published by the Hindustan Times or HT, a new Vande Bharat route may be started between Bengaluru and Coimbatore. This new Vande Bharat route has been in demand by the public for quite some time as per the article. This is because there is only one other train that plies between Bengaluru and Coimbatore.
It is Uday Express and, as of now, it takes seven hours of travel time between the two destinations. The train begins operations in the morning. However, as a large number of people travel between these two Indian cities, a new Vande Bharat train may soon be announced to meet the demand of the people. The official announcement regarding the train will also be made soon.
As per Vanathi Srinivasan, who is a BJP leader and Coimbatore South MLA, the announcement will follow soon after Indian Railways’s serious consideration of the route between the two cities. Not many details about the news are available as of yet and the timings of the train are also not known. If made official, this will be the second Vande Bharat between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Other Important Details About This News
Though this route, if made official, would be the first between Bengaluru and Coimbatore, it will not be the first between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. As of now, there is one other route between the two Indian states and it is between Mysuru and Chennai. It was launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in November last year.
Apart from this, there are several Vande Bharat routes to and from Karnataka. These are to various cities like Dharwad, Hyderabad, Hubballi and Belagavi as well as Chennai. As per the HT article, the Vande Bharat train between Bengaluru and Dharwad was extended to Belagavi. The route will also be enhanced to be faster than it is now. Once this is done, it will only take seven hours and 45 minutes to travel between the two cities.
