PVR INOX Launches 14-Screen Megaplex In Phoenix Mall Of Asia, Bengaluru
According to a report by Business Today, PVR INOX has launched a megaplex at Phoenix Mall of Asia which has a seating capacity of 1,997 people. It features 4K laser projection, a Volfoni 3D screen, advanced Dolby Atmos surround sound and whatnot! Moreover, it also has the first MX4D and Screen X. While MX4D offers an immersive 4D movie experience, Screen X offer 270-degree cinema viewing.
Out of the 14 screens, one screen is in a large-screen format Screen X, one in multi-sensory MX4D format, three in luxury format, and nine are premium auditoriums with last-row celebrity plush recliners. Ajay Bijli, Managing Director of PVR INOX Ltd stated that they’ve received an overwhelming response for all their premium screen formats across India. So, this promoted them to launch the largest cinema in South India. Moreover, he says it’s PVR INOX’s telos to make cinemas more experiential. And the megaplex at Phoenix Mall of Asia aligns with their vision.

Screen X, MX4D Format & More For Cinephiles
Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, the Executive Director of the company stated that they are delighted to launch their biggest property in South India. Especially, it brings them immense pride and happiness to introduce Screen X and MX4D formats to the region. He called Bengaluru, a fast-changing and dynamic city and one of India’s fastest-growing economies. With the launch of the megaplex in Bengaluru, PVR INOX now has 172 screens and 26 cinemas in the Garden City. In the state of Karnataka, the count is 219 screens and 37 cinemas. In South India, it has 572 screens and 100 properties.
