Founded in 2007 by the visionary Emirati businessman Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal, Alserkal Initiatives is a key player in Dubai’s cultural scene. It focuses on cultivating the creative economy through Alserkal Avenue, a 500,000 sqft cultural district with over 70 art galleries and creative spaces. It also supports the arts through the Alserkal Arts Foundation with grants and residencies and offers advisory services. Alserkal Avenue, once a neglected warehouse area, now hosts a vibrant array of free galleries, exhibitions, talks, and cultural events anchored by the versatile Concrete space designed by OMA.

Jameel Arts Centre, located in Dubai’s Jaddaf Waterfront, is an independent institution founded by Art Jameel dedicated to contemporary art.
