We love watching Piku for its realistic story, fantastic cast, brilliant performances, and perfect execution. Many of us can relate to most parts of the movie. Featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan, and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, this Bollywood movie is a lot different than action-packed and romantic Hindi movies. Rather it talks about feelings and incidents that we all face in our lives at some point in time and maybe this is why we fall in love with it every time.
Deepika Padukone celebrated 9 years of Piku by dropping a throwback picture from the shooting schedule of the film. The picture was clicked from one of the sets in Kolkata. In this behind-the-scenes glimpse, Deepika can be seen enjoying a good time with veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and the late Irrfan Khan. Also, we can see a crew member standing with a plateful of fruits for the actors.
It seemed like a lot of fun to shoot Piku in different locations. The cast shared a beautiful bond and their promotional interviews reflected the warm working relationship they shared while shooting Piku. While uploading the throwback picture, Deepika shared how Amitabh Bachchan loves telling everyone how much she eats. In one of Piku’s promotional interviews, Big B once shared “Yeh har 3-minute mein khaana khati hai” (She eats every 3 minutes).

Most Scenes Of Piku Have Been Shot In Kolkata
Director Shoojit Sircar captured the beautiful aura and essence of Kolkata for Piku. This movie’s Champakunj house is the famous Laha Bari mansion. From famous lanes to North Kolkata’s heritage to the magnificence of Howrah Bridge, Piku has been filmed in some of the ‘City of Joy’s’ most stunning locations.
