What Is This Special Permit Necessary While Driving From Bengaluru To Goa?
As per the local media reports, almost 40 cars were stopped at the Mollem check-post in Goa. Those who did not procure the permit, have to pay the penalty. Anyone travelling from Bengaluru to Goa can buy this special permit from the RTO office at Shanthinagar, Bengaluru, and the other RTOs in Karnataka. It costs ₹100 to ₹200 and can is easily accessible and affordable to everyone.

People hoped that they certainly can buy the permits at the check post itself and left for the journey. There was a misconception regarding this and many thought that such services exist now. On the other hand, according to reports, the issue of special permits for entering Goa stopped at the beginning of the month.

The Present Status Of The Entire Situation:
As per The New Indian Express, M Ravi, the vice president of the Karnataka Tourism Forum said that Karnataka will soon initiate the issuing of special permits online similar to Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.
Oblivious travellers now need to pay the fine forcefully to be able to continue with their pre-planned vacation. The striking part is that the larger the vehicle, the larger the fine is! The fine for a van entering the Goa territory without this permit needs to pay a hefty fine of ₹17,000 and for tourist buses, the fine is ₹25,000.
As per the current reports, the transport department has initiated the issuing of the permits for state vehicles online. The problem of no connectivity at check-posts still remains. An official from the department shared with the media that all these things will be taken care of. At the present, the State Transport Authority is issuing special permits in Bengaluru and RTOs in Karnataka to enter Goa.
