A circular issued by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) announced relaxation related to nightlife, entertainment, and dining activities in the Emirates. Clubs, bars, restaurants, and cafes can now stay open until 3 am, with 80% increased capacity. Even concerts can now have attendees up to 5,000. Precautionary Measures In Smoking Zones & Shisha Serving Areas

The Dubai Municipality issued a set of precautionary measures to reopen smoking areas and shisha serving areas starting from 18 July. The update that came into circulation reads:

“Reopening Smoking Areas & Shisha Serving Areas (Starting from 18 July 2020 until further notice): Dubai Municipality calls on Smoking areas and Shisha serving areas operators in the Emirates of Dubai to comply with the following:”

For the time being, only disposable shisha hoses and narghiles will be permitted. Shisha parts like the tongs must be cleaned and disinfected after use by each client. In addition, Shisha staff must adhere to strict hand washing practice before and after service. Lastly, smoking areas within establishments are now open.
