Next time you’re in DXB you are in for a big surprise! DXB becomes World’s First Airport to host resident DJs, starting this weekend.

What’s It?

The next time you go to DXB, you will be treated to foot-tapping, live music. Sounds exciting? DXB is partnering with the city’s favourite DJ duo- Hollaphonic, who will host monthly shows for travelers.

Performances will not be limited to one corner of the airport. DXB authorities plan to have a roaming stage that will pick various spots at the airport, based on traffic and seasonality. And the best part- it is absolutely FREE for all. The new venture made its first appearance on St Patrick’s Day in Concourse B’s family zone and the Festival of Holi in Concourse D.

Dubai’s favourite DJ duo Hollaphonic will kick off the new program, with two, two-hour slots. DJs Scott Forshaw and Mark Shakedown will follow suit. The live performance will then break during Ramadan and be back with popular names like Stephon Lamar and international talent such as US artist Alex Syps

This is the first time a live music program is being launched at an airport. Going forward, DXB will fetch artists from Dubai’s leading pubs and bars, and giving them a bigger stage to show off their talent.

Here’s the schedule for this month:

April 5 & 6: Scott Forhsaw

April 12 & 13: Mark Shakedown

Free. Noon-2pm. Concourse B, Terminal 3

What Else?

In case you didn’t know Dubai was regarded as the busiest airport with 89 million passengers using the airport last year. And in addition, DXB is also getting a stunning new makeover and we simply can’t wait for it!
