As mentioned above, the official page of Miss World took to Instagram on Monday, the 13th of February, to announce that the 71st Miss World Festival will be held in the UAE. Yes, it will happen in May and the confirmation came directly from Julia Morley CBE. As it happens, the previous edition was held in March 2022, which was the 2021 outing. The previous year’s winner, Karolina Bielawska of Poland, will be crowning her successor.

While the exact date and venue are yet to be confirmed, this is certainly exciting news as the UAE is hosting this pageant for the first time! Did you know the first-ever Miss World pageant was held in 1951? Yes, Eric Morley created this pageant! As such, 81 delegates have confirmed their participation in the upcoming 2023 edition, so far.

She became the only Miss World to have visited the maximum number of countries in association with the Beauty With a Purpose project. A remarkable achievement, it will be worth watching who becomes the successor of this prestigious title this May. She was crowned the Miss World 2021 at the 70th edition held in San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 16, 2022
