The Yas Bay Waterfront has the dubious distinction of being one of Abu Dhabi’s hottest and trendiest new recreational zones. And there’s now an even more thrilling, almost ‘James Bondy’ way to get there: using a water shuttle. Yas Bay Waterfront has inaugurated a trial water shuttle service that will transport people between Al Bandar and Al Muneera on Al Raha Beach and across Yas Marina and the waterfront.
New Dh5 Boat Ride On Yas Bay Island
The water shuttle is the first of its type on Yas Island to recognise the importance of water transportation and anticipate increased demand. Its ultimate goal is of improving accessibility from surrounding settlements. The two-month experiment began on March 18. It is part of Yas Bay Island’s effort to improve island connection in order to provide residents and visitors with a seamless experience.

The Service Is Live Now
The Yellow Boats, one of the UAE’s most reputable overwater tour providers, operates the Dh5s ride. Yas Bay has transfer spots on Al Raha Beach to and from Yas Marina, Al Bandar, and Al Muneera. The tickets are Dhs5 (under 12s ride free), and the nautical pace has a limit of 10 knots. Each boat will have a maximum capacity of 20 people.
Between 2 and 10 p.m., one of the two specialised shuttles will run, giving direct Yas to mainland (and vice versa) services. Whereas the other will dock at all stations between 5 and 11 p.m. The circuits take roughly 40 minutes to complete, so there will never be a long wait.

The water shuttle is part of a proposal to expand the island’s maritime transportation system. This initiative is in action to fulfil the demands of the island’s tens of thousands of inhabitants, visitors, and tourists who want to move along the Yas Bay Waterfront.
