Flying To Thailand? You Don’t Need Vaccination Proof On Arrival

If you’re planning to visit Thailand shortly, then there’s good news for you. After Australia, Canada, and Saudi, now Thailand will also remove its COVID-19 travel restrictions. Now, international travellers will no longer need to provide vaccination proof or the ATK test results in Thailand. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the new visa rules will apply from 1 October 2023 until 31 March 2023.

Along with this the Thailand cabinet also approves an extension for the staycation of visitors, from 30 days to 45 days. Travellers visiting Thailand from countries (eligible for visa exemption) can avail of this benefit. In addition, the 15-day period for those eligible for Visa on Arrival (VOA) has been extended to 30 days. Again, this rule will be applicable from October 1st.

Currently, travellers must show either vaccination proof or a negative test result within 72 hours of travel to enter Thailand.

While the nation eventually expanded travel, it later tightened border restrictions with the advent of Omicron variants. Thailand introduced the ‘Test & Go Thailand Pass’ scheme earlier this year, allowing vaccinated international visitors to travel anywhere in the country and skip quarantine.

Thailand is back to welcoming tourists in full swing by removing all the COVID-19-related travel restrictions.

Thailand Welcomes Tourist Arrivals; Vaccination Proof Not Required

Thailand removed the need for tourist arrivals to produce vaccination proofs as Thailand’s centre for COVID-19 situation management (CCSA) declared an end to the nationwide COVID-19 emergency order on September 30. This announcement automatically dissolves the CCSA. But all notices, ordinances, rules, and regulations issued by the cabinet and the Prime minister, under the command will be revoked.

Meanwhile, are you excited to travel to Thailand? After all, you wouldn’t need to undergo COVID-19-related formalities anymore. Now, that’s a relief!
