Saudi Lifts Travel Restrictions To India, Turkey & Other Countries

Is that trip to Saudi Arabia is still pending? Are you planning to finally make that travel happen? If yes, then there is a huge development. Saudi Arabia has lifted all COVID travel restrictions. If you are travelling to Saudi, you will no longer require an RT-PCR report and vaccination certificate upon arrival. What’s more? Saudi Arabia has also lifted the wearing mask and social distancing mandate in open areas.

Saudi Arabia Had Earlier Mandated Vaccination Certificate

The rule applies to all citizens who desire to travel outside of the country. They needed to have had their second vaccination within the last three months. Children under the age of 16 were not eligible, as are those included in the Tawakkalna app.

Regardless of immunisation status, one had to produce a negative Covid-19 PCR test result. A negative Covid-19 antigen test result issued within 48 hours of departure also worked. This order did not apply to children under the age of 8.

Earlier the reports stated clearly the upliftment of the travel ban on the route between Saudi and India. Now further statements have clarified the upliftment of the ban from more than three countries i.e. Ethiopia, Turkey and Vietnam.

Over 699,069 Cases Had Been Reported Across The Country

Citizens who had received two doses of any of the region’s permitted vaccines were eligible to enter the kingdom. They were still qualified if they tested positive for Covid-19 while overseas. One could enter without a negative PCR test result as long as seven days have passed since the positive test.

Citizens who had not been completely vaccinated with a kingdom-approved vaccine and have tested positive for the virus abroad could enter the nation without a negative PCR test result if 10 days had passed since the positive test.

Booster Dose To Travel Wasn’t Mandatory

Saudi Ministry of Tourism previously announced fully vaccinated can enter the kingdom. The source emphasised the need for everyone to follow the preventive measures as well as the recognised health procedures. Also to complete the allowed vaccine doses as quickly as possible.
