The entire subcontinent of India, in the past couple of days, has seen some quite drastic shifts in weather patterns. Many places that were witnessing heatwaves are now experiencing rainy and stormy weather. Here are the weather updates from major Indian cities.

1. Chennai Welcomes Rain Followed By Pleasant Weather In The City

Chennai welcomed rains on the evening of Wednesday, May 15. The following day, the city saw pleasantly cool weather. It is predicted that the Tamil Nadu capital city will experience moderate rainfall and moderate thunderstorms in the coming days. Many citizens of Chennai took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared joyous pictures and videos of rain.

2. Heatwave Predicted In Delhi; Mercury To Hit And Cross 45° Celsius

On the flipside, it is predicted that Delhi will see quite a severe heatwave. Temperatures are expected to reach and even cross 45° Celsius. The rise in temperature will continue till Saturday, May 18. Similar weather conditions will be seen around Haryana and Punjab. Dry westerly and northwesterly winds are also expected in these regions.

3. Rainy Weather Predicted In Bengaluru Ahead Of RCB Vs. CSK Match

According to an article which was recently published by The Free Press Journal or FPJ, Bengaluru will see light rain. The light to moderate rain will be accompanied by strong gusts of winds that may reach a speed of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour. Thundershowers, too, are expected. The temperature may decrease to 32° Celsius in the city.

4. Mumbai To See Thunderstorms And Light Rain In The Coming Days

After witnessing a sudden dust storm that did some damage to the city and even claimed a few lives, it is predicted that Mumbai will experience stormy weather in the coming days as well. Light rains and thunderstorms are expected to bring relief to the sweltering weather that the city is currently experiencing.
