Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a spiritual journey recently. On Thursday, he visited the Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple in Shirdi. He performed darshan and puja at the beautiful temple and also inaugurated a new fascinating development in that place. PM Modi visited Shirdi for all these purposes on October 26, 2023. During his work journey to this city in Maharashtra, he was accompanied by some ministers and eminent personalities.

It was about 1 PM when Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Shirdi Airport in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. He boarded his flight from Delhi to land at the airport in Maharashtra. He did the darshan of Saibaba and also offered prayers at the Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple. On this journey to Shirdi temple on Thursday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, and Revenue Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil joined him, according to a report by Hindustan Times.

PM Modi Inaugurated Darshan Queue Complex
Right after the puja ceremony at the Shirdi temple, he inaugurated the brand-new Darshan Queue Complex. Constructed at a massive budget of ₹112 crores, this all-new Darshan Queue Complex is a state-of-the-art and unique infrastructure at Shirdi Saibaba Samadhi Temple. The purpose of this fascinating development is to make a designated waiting space for devotees and visitors.
The complex is built with amazing amenities and facilities such as air-conditioned cloakrooms, booking counters, an information centre, washrooms, and so much more. Also, it boasts waiting halls at places with a seating area of more than 10,000 people. It is a must to submit your mobile phones at some place before entering the temple in Shirdi. There are tons of places outside where you can keep your mobile phones and shoes. Now, the complex has come up with lockers to keep mobile phones and shoes of visitors. There are 14,538 lockers and about 45,000 people can keep their mobiles and shoes inside them. To make access easier for handicapped and their carers, there is a properly designated service as well.
After the darshan and inauguration at the Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple, he visited the public programme in Shirdi. He was at the programme to lay the foundation stones of some new projects and also inaugurate a few. These projects are big-budget developments and are worth around ₹7,500 crore. The projects cover different sectors such as gas, health, rail, road, and more.
Jal Pujan Of Nilwande Dam
The prime minister also took part in the Jal Pujan of Nilwande Dam yesterday. Following this, he enjoyed a survey of the Nilwande Dam and also dedicated its canal network to the country. The dam is the source of water for more than 180 villages.
His plans also included introducing the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana along with many other crucial upcoming projects.
