Dubai is a hub of world records, proudly holding more than 300 titles from Guinness World Records. The city is known for its relentless pursuit of being the largest, finest, and most daring in accomplishing seemingly impossible feats. Dubai’s enthusiasm for setting new world records is evident because a dedicated Guinness World Record judge is stationed in the UAE to handle the extensive workload. 

1. Largest Flower Arrangement

The Dubai Miracle Garden set a world record with a floral display of an Emirates Airbus A380 made from five million flowers. The structure, measuring 239 × 257 x 72 feet (72.95 x 78.34 x 21.98 meters), can be viewed from a central platform. When fully bloomed, it weighs over 220,462 pounds or 100 tonnes.

2. Ain Dubai Tallest Observation Wheel

At 250 meters (820 feet), Ain Dubai is currently the world’s tallest observation wheel, surpassing the 167.6-meter (550-foot) High Roller in Las Vegas, which held the record from 2014 to 2021. The High Roller features externally mounted motorised capsules with a transparent spherical design and is often described as both a Ferris wheel and an observation wheel by the media.

The Dubai Frame in Zabeel Park, UAE, holds the record for the world’s largest picture frame. Standing at 150 meters, it offers views of both old and modern Dubai. The structure includes a museum and a glass-floored observation deck on the 48th floor. Opened in 2018, it has become a popular tourist destination.

4. Largest Vertical Maze

The Al Rostamani Group Maze Tower in Dubai holds the world record for the largest permanent vertical maze on a 55-storey building. The maze, created using intricate lines of balconies, spans an impressive 3,947 sqm and was recognised in 2012.

5. Most Nationalities In A High-Intensity Interval Training

During the Dubai Fitness Challenge, Adidas and Les Mills set a Guinness World Record for the most nationalities in a high-intensity interval training class. Fifty-five nationalities participated in the event on Sheikh Zayed Road, guided by Les Mills’ global presenters and powered by Adidas training wear. The iconic Museum of the Future provided a stunning background for this historic fitness session, highlighting global unity and wellness.

6. Tallest Tower In The World

The Burj Khalifa, standing at 828 meters, is over twice as tall as the Empire State Building and nearly three times the height of the Eiffel Tower. Guinness World Records recognizes it for having the tallest elevator (504 m), the most floors (163), and the highest restaurant from ground level (441.3 m).

7. World’s Largest Fountain

The Dubai Fountain, situated on the 12-hectare Burj Khalifa Lake in downtown Dubai, is the largest globally.
