According to an article which was recently published by Moneycontrol, the app was launched on March 3, 2024, at the Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. In addition to launching the app, she also inaugurated the trainers’ programme which will go on for two days.

As per an official statement, more than 550 trainers from across the states and union territories will attend the programme. The programme is being organised with the aim of sensitising and educating trainers who, in turn, train pilgrims.

This is being done in order to ensure that pilgrims, especially the first-timers, have sufficient knowledge of the process and have a fulfilling experience. The app will be equipped with information about accommodation, flights, health and even emergency helplines.
