The Amar Colony market is known to be paradise for shoppers are looking to get great deals on vintage and regular furniture. Apart from that, it also has wholesale showrooms for traditional Indian outfits. But what many people don’t know, that it is also a hub for some delicious and budget friendly eating options. One such place is Muttu South Indian Anna.
What Is It?
Muttu South Indian Anna is a small restaurant located in the Amar Colony Market, that serves authentic South Indian food. This road-side restaurant has a wide menu and everything served fits well within your pocket. But that’s not even the best part! The best part is that everything served here is absolutely fresh.
Don’t let the space fool you. What might seem like a very infamous kind of a joint, is actually quote popular in the area. During breakfast, it is quite difficult to find a spot at this restaurant. In fact, a lot of people opt for the takeaway option because of the lack of space available to dine.
Well Within Budget
When was the last time you had steaming idlis for just ₹20? Muttu South Indian Anna serves it for the cost per plate, that includes one piece, sambar and coconut chutney. If you feel a little too extravagant, then you can order the dosa, the cost for which ranges from ₹60 for plain – ₹130 for the special butter masala dosa. You can also opt for uttapam and vada which are in the similar price range.
Apart from South Indian food, they also serve chowmein and fried rice. The preparation and the portion are quite good, but we would still suggest going in for the traditional South Indian meal over this, any day.
After all, once you sees those deep fried vadas coming out of the wok, all fresh, how can you not have one? And then maybe one more.
