Travel enthusiasts! We know you can never run out of reasons to visit the World’s Happiest Nation — Bhutan. Well, let’s give you another reason to book your tickets to Bhutan — Royal Highland Festival. Starting on October 23, this two-day festival features traditional dances, Bhutanese food, parades, highland animals and more.  Here’s all about it.

The Reason Behind Starting This Festival

Hosted in Laya, at an altitude of 4000m, the Royal Highland Festival was started in 2016 to boost Bhutan’s economy and promote the rich highland culture. Moreover, this festival also draws awareness of the decline of yak farming — a significant source of revenue for highlanders. Gear up for the 5th edition of the coveted festival. The two-day festival will be held from October 23 to October 24, 2022.
