Here’s A Look At The New Signature Livery Of The Emirates Fleet That Boasts A Cool 3-D Effect!

A livery is an identifying design, including uniforms, ornament, or symbols that can be found on an individual or vehicle. And the one on an aircraft is basically a set of comprehensive designs comprising colour, graphics, or even typographical identifiers that the airlines or governments paint on their aircraft. And Emirates has introduced a new livery to its tailfin, which looks much more dynamic with a special 3-D effect. Here’s all you need to know about the new design!

Emirates Airlines has released a new livery design for its existing fleet. The new design makes the UAE flag on the aircraft’s tailfin more flowy and dynamic. This has been added with a special 3-D effect! Moreover, the wingtips are painted red with its logo in Arabic calligraphy that pops out in reverse white. Flyers on board with a window view will be able to see the UAE flag colours on the wingtip’s face and the fuselage. It is also worth mentioning that the signature gold Emirates, which is painted across the main body in both Arabic and English, is also bolder and larger by 32.5%. Eagle-eyed plane spotters will also be able to see that the airline has kept its legendary red branding, which was introduced back in 2005. However, the ‘www.emirates.com’ URL has now been dropped from the design!

This is the third version of the new brand colours and can be found on the A6-EOE, an Airbus A380. Moreover, this airbus will be first deployed on its flight to Munich on March 17 as flight EK51. Talking about the new livery, this will be applied across its existing fleet, with 24 aircraft receiving this by the end of 2023. Not to mention, this also includes 17 Boeing 777s. As it happens, all the new Emirates aircraft from the first Airbus A350 entering the fleet in August 2024 will sport this new design.

I introduced the original livery with the launch of the airline back in 1985. After this, it was refreshed 14 years later with the delivery of the Emirates’ first Boeing 777-300 at the 1999 Dubai Airshow.
