Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba at Murthal on Delhi Ambala Highway is a foodie’s paradise. Countless visitors from Delhi NCR flock here on weekends to savour upon some desi soul food. As you drive by the highway, you will see several small dhabas and eateries contouring both sides of the road, but Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba is a standalone property that is most popular amongst travellers.
From families to truck drivers, toddlers to senior people – this Dhaba serves one and all with much love. Now, this place is always jam-packed. Open for 24 hours, no matter what time you reach, there will always be a waiting period to get a table. And, sometimes on peak days (read: weekends) you might have to share your table with strangers; but, what the hell, as long as you get to eat amazing food, nothing else matters!

Be it midnight chai and Parantha craving or your daily dose of Chaat requirement – Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba is known for their delightful flavours, pocket-friendly prices and huge portions.
Also, this place serves only vegetarian food. But non-vegetarian folks, worry not! We bet you will enjoy their food from the bottom of your bellies. Now, these guys had a humble start wherein they served traditional Indian food only; however, with the advent of modernization they have tweaked their menu to satiate your taste buds. Today, they also serve burgers, pizzas, continental dishes, pasta and Chinese food.
What To Eat?
Hands down, nothing beats their Aloo Ka Parantha with a huge dollop of white butter, curd and spicy pickle. Have it with a tall glass of sweet Lassi, Baadam milk, buttermilk or desi elaichi chai. You could also indulge in Mooli Paranthas, Soya Keema Paranthas, Paneer Paranthas and Mixed Paranthas.
Apart from these, you can also try the Raj Kachori, Aloo Tikki made in desi ghee and stuffed Gol Gappe. Now, they also serve spicy and flavoursome cutlets and tandoori snacks like paneer cutlets, mushroom Tikka and Soya Malai Tikka.
How To Reach?
Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba is hardly 45 kilometres from Delhi. So, we are talking 1.5 hours of driving approximately. If you have your own car, bravo! If not, rent a cab and check this place out this weekend.
