What is the link between Atul Kulkarni and Naseeruddin Shah? Yes, they are both phenomenal actors but did you know that they bonded over the good and scrumptious food of Old Delhi? During Atul’s college days, he was introduced to the soft kebabs and raans of Old Delhi. He shared this incident over this episode of Tere Gully Mein with our anchor, Arohi Thatte. Naseeruddin Shah Took Atul Kulkarni To Relish Delicacies Of Old Delhi

We were aware of the fact that Atul Kulkarni has stayed in many different cities due to his studies and his career. We wanted to know about the different delicacies he enjoyed eating in distinct cities. For Delhi when he was in the National School of Drama (NSD), he shared that he, along with his friends, would go eat paranthas at around two or three in the morning. He said that there was an income tax office there and Naseeruddin Shah introduced them to the parantha spot! Atul got food recommendations from Naseeruddin Shah! What a crossover!

Atul Kulkarni told us that Naseeruddin Shah came to the National School of Drama to teach a class. He took the students to Old Delhi and there he introduced them to the delicious kebabs and raans. There was a pause for two seconds and then he said in enthusiasm, “Oh, wow!” and it felt like his tastebuds could remember those delicious food items. Looks like we need to know the spot and Delhiites could head over and relish kebabs.

Atul Kulkarni told us that he was rather late for enrolling at the National School of Drama. He did it at the age of 27; you can pursue your dreams when you feel it is right. Age is just a number, think how old the earth is!

He shared his list of alumni and juniors from the National School of Drama and it is a good crowd. With great pleasure, Atul Kulkarni informed us that the renowned Zakir Hussain and Adil Hussain were his seniors. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Swanand Kirkire, and Rajpal Yadav were his juniors.
