What’s now the costliest parking spot in the world has been sold at a whopping amount of 10 million Hong Kong dollars (approximately ₹9,50,91,100). The parking lot in Hong Kong covers a space of 134.5-square-foot and lies at the basement of the luxurious Mount Nicholson Development nestled on the city’s affluent ‘The Peak’ residential area. The Peak is a hill on the western half of Hong Kong Island and has an elevation of 1811 feet.

The Parking Space Overlooks The Victoria Harbour

The parking space overlooks the magnificent Victoria Harbour, one of the swankiest residential apartments in the city. The amount shelled out for the parking lot is ‘negligible’ compared to the amount paid for the apartment, as told to South China Morning Post by William Lau, a sales director at Centaline Property Agency. Lau added that the purchaser had the requirement of the spot for personal use and not as an investment.
