Tawang- Arunachal Pradesh’s most visited town and home to Asia’s second-largest is known for several things. From the majestic Jang falls to the historic War memorial, there’s a lot that Tawang has to offer in terms of beauty, history, and culture. And before visiting Tawang, you will expect the place to look like a Himachali Town like Shimla or Manali. However, once you reach, you’ll realize that Tawang is still unscathed by commercialization, so much that there are only two cafes in the town. And I visited those two cafes in Tawang and here’s everything you must know.
1. Dharma Coffee House
Nestled close to the Tawang Monastery, Dharma Coffee house is filled with tourists and locals. Locals love to work from this cafe while sipping some coffee/tea, whereas tourists come and visit this cosy cafe to grab a bite or two. The warm ambience, kind staff, and good food will make you fall in love with this cafe. I visited this cafe after a long tiring day, and the food served here instantly bought a small to my face. What impressed me more is locals do enjoy cafes, and in the future, we can expect more cafes in Tawang.
What To Eat: Order Pizza, pasta, and some coffee.
Timings: 9 AM- 5 PM.

2. Soinam House Of Cakes
Located in the Old Tawang market, this quaint gram-worthy cafe instantly caught our eyes when we were exploring the market. And what’s next- we decided to visit and were taken aback by the beautiful decor and warm hospitality the place had to offer. We visited the cafe on the first day of its opening, and it was filled with locals showing their support to the owners. If you love cakes, this cafe is for you. We tried their rich chocolate cafe, and it’s worth every bite. The cake is for Rs.100, and it’s one of the best things we’ve had in Tawang.
