The LaLiT hotel chain is one of the premier ones in India. It recently received an IGLTA accreditation. IGLTA stands for the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association. It is widely taken to be the gold standard when it comes to the safety of queer travellers. The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group became the first hotel chain globally to receive this accreditation. Here are all of the important details that you will need to know about this milestone.

The LaLiT Hotel Chain Receives An IGLTA Accreditation

According to an article which was recently published by the Economic Times or ET, The LaLiT has always championed DEI initiatives. DEI stands for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This accreditation only serves to bolster its position as one of the most inclusive hotel chains in the world.

It aims to foster an environment which welcomes everyone regardless of gender and sexual orientation and hence, being accredited by one of the leading benchmarks for queer safety aids the hotel’s attempts to do the same.

In addition to being a safe stay option for queer people, it also provides a queer-inclusive work environment. As of now, it has more than 200 openly queer employees who ensure the safety of other community members as well.
