This glorious cake is so much better than your basic chocolate cake. Why, you ask? Well, with two more layers of yumminess topping it off, the taste levels of this dessert are easily tripled. While the bottom layer is a basic cake, the middle layer is amazingly creamy with chocolate pudding. For a fun element on the top, a chocolate disc is placed over the pudding. It’s not only immensely delicious, but it also adds to the texture of the cake. So, are you ready to make it?

Follow these simple steps for the dreamiest cake ever:

Chocolate Cake:

  • 1.5 cups of flour
  • 1/4th cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1/3rd tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3rd cup of oil
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla essence
  1. Mix all the dry ingredients and sieve them nicely for an aerated mixture.
  2. Once sieved, pour in all the wet ingredients and gently fold the mixture until it is well combined.
  3. Shift the batter into the tin and bake it for approximately 30 minutes until it is done. You can poke in a toothpick to check if it’s done.

Pudding:

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tbsp Custard Powder mixed with a little milk
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 100 gm of melted dark chocolate
  • Half a tsp of vanilla essence
  1. Combine the ingredients well to achieve a pudding-like consistency.

Chocolate Disc:

  1. On baking paper, thinly layer dark or milk chocolate. When it is nearly set, slice it into a circle and refrigerate it for five minutes to finish setting.

Once all three layers are ready, you can proceed to assemble them

  1. First, pour the pudding mixture on top of the chocolate cake.
  2. Once it is levelled, place the chocolate disc on top. Sprinkle some cocoa powder or drink chocolate over it and enjoy!

Pro tip: Make the bottom layer of the cake moist with a little milk. Also, don’t forget to chill it for a few hours before digging in.

This dream cake will turn out so good, you will not want to gift it away!
