What Were The Guidelines Issued By The Government?

Strict guidelines were issued for Holi celebrations by the government. The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board or BWSSB stated that entertainment like Rain Dances and Pool Parties are not advisable. Such parties end up wasting a lot of water which is scarce now.

Using the water from Cauvery for non-essential purposes is also strictly prohibited, so it meant that residents couldn’t use it for Holi celebrations either. Regardless, it seems that Bangaloreans had a lot of fun despite the crisis and found ways to have fun while being mindful.
