Odisha’s historical Barabati Stadium holds memories of the epic match between India and South Africa that took place last Sunday. During their stay, both teams were hosted by the very famous Hotel Mayfair. And the authentic Odia cuisine that the hotel did prepare for the teams. So here’s a little more insight into the flavourful cuisine along with a few tidbits of the Cricket teams and their encounter with Odia food!

Mouthwatering Odisha food with high proteins and carbohydrates is made into the menu for the teams. The Indian team is mostly seen enjoying the Veg platter while Team South Africa did enjoy non-veg options. Biltong, Boerewors, along with Bobotie, and a variety of Pot food are some of the dishes that were served during their stay. However, it’s a fact that the players are very health conscious and most will go for healthy options. So Mayfair did make sure that their requirements were met without fail.

After New Delhi, both the cricket teams of India and South Africa are now in Bhubaneswar for the second T20I. It’s a five-match series that is going on at Barabati Stadium from June 12, 2022.
