An X user, Ashutosh (@sonasingh46), shared his sister’s terrible experience on an IndiGo flight. In the post, he mentioned that his sister recently travelled with the airline and later found that her bag had been broken. However, as per the airline’s policy, they are offering her ₹4,500 as compensation. But here’s the twist!

The damaged bag is from Mokobara and is worth around ₹8,000. The compensation being offered is much lower than the actual value of the bag. The X user added, “What kind of policy is this? Consumer safety is a joke in this nation.”

His post quickly gained attention and raised questions about airline policies. Many users criticised the compensation, while some supported the airline.

One user added, “If someone travels with an LV bag or Tumi and it gets damaged, would you expect them to replace it with the same brand?”

Another netizen commented, “Please sue them, otherwise they think they are untouchable and keep fooling people.”

“They don’t care about your loss but want to follow policy. What about the policy for customer luggage handling?” one comment read.

One user suggested, “That’s why train travel is preferred by most Indians. On flights, it’s better to carry only hand luggage.”
