India’s first bullet train will operate on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. The train meant to arrive in India from Japan will run on the same corridor marking the operations of a train from Japan in our country. According to a report by Hindustan Times, Indian Railways is in talks about the train. After this, the official decision will be taken by the Japanese counterparts regarding the manufacture and supply of these swanky bullet trains from Japan.
Senior railway officials stated that the orders for Shinkansen E5 trains will be placed by 2024. However, the arrival is likely to take around two years. These high-speed trains can run at a maximum speed of 350 km per hour. But the plans are to operate at 320 km per hour.
Indian Railways has significant plans to revolutionise the railway sector nationwide. Though nothing has been announced officially yet, semi-high-speed trains may run instead of Rajdhani and Shatabdi. The expectation for these semi-high-speed trains is to run at 250 km per hour. Whereas India’s premium Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains operate at 130 km per hour. On September 5, Integral Coach Factory issued a tender for two-chair car high-speed trains.

National High Speed Rail Corridor (NHSRCL) shared that the semi-high-speed trains can run on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor at a maximum speed of 350 km per hour, according to a report by ABP LIVE.
This high-speed rail corridor will also be a part of testing semi-high-speed trains. These trains can run at the highest speed of 250 km per hour.
