IRCTC Launches 12-Day Char Dham Yatra Tour Covering Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri And Gangotri

IRCTC has launched a 12 days Char Dham Yatra tour which will cover the holy shrines Badrinath, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Yamunotri for a starting price of ₹60,500/person. The journey will start at Kochi and will cover Haridwar, Barkot, Janki Chatti, Prakateshwar-Mahadev temple, Uttarkashi, Gangotri, Guptkashi, Kedarnath, Gaurikand and Rudraprayag. The package will incorporate flight costs, hotel accommodation, breakfast, dinner tour manager charges, government taxes and travel insurance.

Reaching Haridwar And Barkot

On Day 1, guests will be taken to Delhi from Kochi via flight. From there, they will need to proceed towards Haridwar by road. They can have lunch on the way at their own expenses. Upon reaching Haridwar, they need to check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay. They will be provided dinner at the hotel. On day 2, they will be taken to Barkot from Haridwar where they need to check-in at another hotel for an overnight stay.

Yamunotri Temple

On Day 3, they will need to proceed towards Yamunotri Temple via Janki Chatti. At Janki Chatti, guests can book palki or pony services at their own costs. Or they can choose to trek as well, if they are able to. As the trek isn’t very easy. After visiting the temple, they will also get to witness the magical hot springs around the temple. After darshan, they need to return to Barkot via Janki Chatti.

Uttarkashi, Prakateshwar-Mahadev Temple, Gangotri Temple

On Day 4, guests need to proceed towards Uttarkashi from their hotel in Barkot. The Prakateshwar-Mahadev temple will fall on the route. Guests need to check-in at the hotel at Uttarkashi and can visit the  Kashi -Vishwanath Temple. After an overnight stay at the hotel, they need to start early the next morning for visiting Gangotri Temple. After darshan, they need to proceed to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

On day 6, guests will be taken to a hotel in Guptkashi or Sitapur for an overnight stay. On day 7, they need to proceed towards Sonprayag and then head towards Kedarnath. At Kedarnath, they can check-in at the hotel and proceed for temple darshan. The next morning, they can visit the Kedarnath temple for pooja. They can return to their hotel in Guptkashi or Sitapur via Sonprayag for an overnight stay. On the same day, they can also visit the Mana village, which is the last village in India.
